久保 修 (くぼ しゅう)／切り絵画家日本の切り絵表現を牽引する第一人者。「紙のジャポニスム」をテーマに、日本各地、四季折々の風物詩や旬の食材の生命感あふれる一瞬を日本古来の柿渋和紙の中にとらえる。ときに旅先の景色、ときに幼い頃の原風景 ― 記憶と風景が交差するモチーフを、和紙の繊細な質感と、幾重にも重ねた奥行、そして鮮やかな独自の色彩で立体的に表現する。紙という儚く静かな素材に、日本の風土と感性を宿らせ、見る者の心に深い余韻を残す作品を創り続けている。
